When
you leave from the airport, take the motorway in the direction of PALMA. After
approximately 5 km you should take the ringroad ( VIA CINTURA) off to the right
and after a further 5 km you should take the turning for VALLDEMOSA ( just
after the prison which is above the road to your right). Follow the Valldemossa
road ( single carrige road) for approximately 7 km - you will pass the
university buildings on the left and are heading straight towards the
mountains. There is a turning off the road to the left signposted ESPORLAS -
follow the road through Esporlas and keep on the same road ( you will start to
climb up into the mountains) heading towards BANYALBUFAR and ESTELLENCS. This
stretch of the journey ( Esporlas to Estellencs ) is about 18 km but feels
longer because of the curves in the road!

The second option is to take the same route out of the airport - ie motorway
towards PALMA but follow the VIA CINTURA ( ring road) towards Andraitx. This
road is slightly less windy but is also further. You keep following signs for
Andraitx until you reach it - going past Santa Ponsa, Paguerra then Andraitx.
You will enter the town by the main road and after 600m will see a sign to the
right for Estellencs. Again, you are now driving through the mountains - for
some 17 km. You will pass "Es Grau" - a restaurant - on the left, then "Coll
d'es Pi" and as you start going down the hill you are almost there! You wiill
start to see the village of Estellencs through the trees on the left and when
you get to the village, can ask for directions to Hotel Nord.
